It wasn't immediately clear to go through the things on the side instead of going straight in for the boss, but it was a neat game. Nothing like I was expecting from the intro, but neat anyways! It was rather difficult--I died a lot, but that's alright.
I nearly stopped playing before I realised there was a whole level, thought it was just a really tough boss fight! It's good you can choose when to fight the boss though. I liked your main guy and his space camper van too
This is a competent twin stick shooter. I've never been any good at them, but the idea of having the enemies shape shifting from the flora/fauna is very fun!

I agree that it wasn't super clear that you should go find all your items in the random levels first but that can just be some UI stuff.
