An alien being has taken the shape of desks, chairs, water coolers and beds. Don't turn your back on them. Mouse + WASD / arrows, shift to run. The downloadable packages are a better experience than the web version.
--- Backstory ---
All contact has been lost with our important research station. The self-proclaimed "last survivor" sent a final nonsensical radio message "the furniture is alive", after which contact was lost.
Suspected insanity and/or equipment failure. You are sent to investigate what has happened. One thing is for sure: Bad things happen if a piece of furniture can see you, but you cannot see it.
Using Chrome on OSX - worked great! Scared the crap out of me the first time the glowing, floating, red thing attacked me from behind. Maybe I was anticipating it too much, but this was really well delivered in terms of spook factor goes. Nice work!
I tried the beginning of it: ITS SCARY! ...BUT AWESOME! I love the idea, i love the atmoshphere, i love the sound, i love the mechanics! It's just so awesome!
Got the web build working, and played through the game. Cool take on the theme, not too often do you see horror games in a ludum dare! :) Good mood and creepy factor. Love the chalkboards/messages. I've never been so concerned if a potted plant was considered a piece of furniture.
My Firefox/Windows 7 does not like the Unity player version of your game (it tries to reserve too much memory)
The Windows executable ends with an error message that it expects a data folder. I can extract the exe file (it's just a zip container), but there is no game inside, only game data files.
If you fix the issue drop me a message and I'll try again.

Very great, scary game. I hope I won't have nightmares of furnitures. :D Is it possible to survive the last level, where the blackboard tells me to „GIVE UP!”? Because I always died on that level. I wonder if there is an ending beyond that.
