So here's the result of our first go at the Ludum Dare Jam, the game is far from finished but it was an awesome experience and we felt like we had to share what we have so far! We're a team of 4 programmers and 2 artists and used Gamemaker Studio for this game about a Native American boy.
Arrows to move, numbers 1 to 5 to shapeshift.
Some fun facts:
Number of hours we had to finish this: 60
Number of hours of experience every team member had with gamemaker: 0
Number of car accidents during the jam: 2
Number of pizzas eaten: 9

There are so many bugs, but if it's your first try it's good

As long as you had fun and learned a lot, it's always a good thing! Good to see you've done something and sent to LD! :) Next time you'll go even further than this, I'm sure!
From what I played, it mostly feels like a tech demo/concept test, needs some polish to make it feel more like a game. Having the main character transform into different animals feels really nice, but it's a bit buggy.
Did you put "bounce" as side-effect when you hit a wall? Try other types of movement, because people might feel a bit annoyed at it. ;)
Keep working and practicing! :D

Also, why are we jumping with bird? That fails to make any sense.
What the game might also need is a narrative, a story of some sort, so it's not just a compilation of gameplay elements. None of the Why questions are addressed.
