NOTE ABOUT THE WEB VERSION: The web version is an emscripten port that was done *A DAY AFTER* the compo ended, and has some collision/physics/timing related fixes to make it work.
If you plan on rating the game, then, in the spirit of LD, you should probably rate based on the buggier downloadable versions that were created within the 48 hour time limit.
I got really close to the end of a complicated screen (The one where you have to go right, down, left, down, right, then straight up and it's mostly covered in lava), then I threw my keyboard out the window haha

My only complaint is that I didn't like that if I die as a bat, I respawn as a bat. Makes for awkward starts sometimes.
Aside from some bugs I know you are already aware of, that was very well done. I'm not big on massocore, but I could identify that was a good example of it. I do wish that tapping the fly button was a viable strategy since I usually try to make several tiny adjustments to get through places, but that may not be what you were going for.
Oh, the music was good but hearing the same 8 bars over and over again after dying 4000 times can be a bit grating.
Boy, I'm a sucker for difficult platforming games. This one was fun and had good style too! The only thing I would suggest is making the fly button the same as the transform button.
The controls are unforgiving, and it was hard to get a handle on the rhythm when I would respawn with the left or right arrow still held down. It was difficult to get the timing right for tapping up as a bat, especially since I was panicking from having only two seconds of life at any point.
But the particles and sound were good, and you followed the theme, so I'm ranking those highly
Very difficult. The challenge reminds me console games from the 90'. Congrats.

fun idea but I could barely play it at all :(
It would be better if you would spawn as vampire instead of a bat when you die as a bat though :)
