Airship combat. You are alone against 6 steampunk airship pirates. The idea was to create a story with more levels and variations, but this was my first Ludum Dare and I didn't had time to implement it all.
Features: Cannon balls, explosions, airships and steampunk music.
There is a bug when you die in the cannon view mode. I know how to fix it but I just found it now... =/
Airships was one of my first ideas too! But I didn't go with that. I feel the movement is a bit slow. I mean, that's probably realistic but it feels a little boring because of that. But still a nice effort. And now I know what steampunk music sounds like!
@PetterBergmar hahaha, thanks for the feedback. I developed the game while listening to Abney Park (steampunk band). They have a song called Airship Pirates!
I would have liked to be able to aim my cannons a bit more, and moving is super slow. but the slowness makes sense. It does have the side effect of making the iteration time really long though.
Nice game. It is a bit slow but it is perfectly fine as it gives more time to control. AT the end, I found that getting in mode "turret" and shooting enemies from far was more efficient. I do not know if it was wanted but once, I exploded a ship and a ship close to it flew quite far due to the explosion.

And shooting at the balloons won't make ships going down?
