I love the art and sound effects. I'd like if the gun was a bit more responsive, the fire rate seemed odd.

Grats to your first compo entry :-) Sometimes the game can be a bit unforgiving, I had Ghosts spawn almost directly at me. And you are getting trapped by the bullets. These are only minor things though, nice entry!

Welcome to the compo and congrats to your first entry. It was quite entertaining, enjoyed the health feedback on the ghosts and the charming vocal music & sounds. The only thing that annoyed me bit was that I couldn't move into the room (at least a little) and that I had to wait for my projectiles to leave the screen before casting new ones.

Brutal game, but quite interesting. Sucks that once the ghosts reach the bottom you can't dodge them any more though.

@QuinnandWin @tomdeal Thanks for playing and commenting. I've seen in many testers that the dodge mechanic might not be higlighted enoug, let me know if that was the problem.

Cute art style and the waves can get challenging.
The dodge roll is a nice mechanic in light of all the bullets. Maybe a little dodge status bar that indicates when you can dodge would bring attention to better

I like the simplicity of the art. The shaky sprite loops give it a nice charm. The shadows are very helpful to establish a fake depth. It would be worth adding a few more sound indicators I think. Good show!

Cool drawings and sound :) Pretty fun game right now and you can still improve it. I'd like a more predictable fire rate and some way to counter being trapped in bullets.

I like this game! I ran into a bug where if you roll twice, you can't move, but besides that it was pretty good! The sounds and graphics work surprisingly well (I thought it was funny). Well done! Awesome first time entry

The sound effects and the animations overall are so charming! If they were separate, they would not be so good. But it was funny just to listen light beatboxing with a cool shaky dude and ghosts also. Amazing.

Funky little game. The reduced graphics and animation were nice. I loved the ghosts with guns and how you used shades of gray to convey damage.

I would recommend watching the video "The Art of Screenshake", you will find some good pointers on making your game more responsive and fun.

Fun little game, very basic but a nice first compo entry

I'm not very good at it, lol :) I barely heard the music and the sounds: when I read comment here, I had to up the volume really a lot, maybe you need some audio levelling, it is very very low.

Very good for a first Compo entry. Everything works fine and the game does not feel unfair or buggy at any point.
At least one doodle style game.
Poor little Caspars. They are way to cute to "kill" them.

It had some real nice style and with a bit more work it would be an amazing little game but of course it being a compo game I know how time can be a huge factor. However overall it was charming and fun. Overall good work.

(And yes, my game was made in 3 days, 3, caffeine filled, no sleep, stressful days.) It's my "holiday".

The boss' attack was really hard to dodge. Really cute art style.

Love it. The perspective effect and effective mobile controls (playing on Android), plus the awesome of a dodge roll, makes for a nice fun little shooter. Gets hard fast!

I'm enjoying the graphics; they remind me a lot of OFF's (particularly the player's). The sound effects are quite interesting as well. The voices are an interesting touch.

It was a quick play, and dodging is fun. Well done.
