"HANGING OUT" by vander hum for LD#37.
Stacy gives her friend Bede a visit in his granny flat. Stacy recently got back from Japan where she was studying piano with her orchestral quartet. While she was away, Bede reluctantly called her to say that he was very sick. It was before Stacy left for Japan that Bede had been told by his specialist he was suffering severe problems with his immune system, and that at best, he had around 6 months to live.
Bede was afraid to tell Stacy while she was still in the country, fearing she would give up her opportunity to travel with her quartet to stay by his side.
The year passed and Bede's condition had not improved.
Although defying his doctors best guesses and proving his strength, Bede agreed to have himself put into an indefinite voluntary coma.
It was at this point Bede felt the weight of being honest with his friend.
He called Stacy right away.
When Stacy arrived back home soon after, she wasted no time heading over to see Bede.
