Room Defender
My first time doing the Ludum Dare! I didn't had much time, so the gameplay is very basic.
You are in a room and you can move with your arrow-keys. There are doors on both sides of the room, from which monsters appear with an increasing frequency. Luckily, you can perform a simple magic spell by hitting the spacebar, this will kill all the monsters within a small radius around you. But beware! The monsters will fight back, and you can only take 20 hits before you die. (And your magic spell has a cooldown of 0.5 seconds. Remember that!)

Nice and simple game. Good job :)
Btw, if you hug a wall right under one of the monster spawns, the monsters will get stuck in there.

This can be a great start to a more-polished game. If you have stuff like power-ups or enhanced attacks, this can be more fun to play.

Would be neat if different attacks were in the game, like a projectile based attack maybe? Neat entry.

This was surprisingly much fun. Because it is so simple and there is no aiming or dodging or choosing attacks involved, it almost feels like a rythm game.
I could imagine this with a nice driving soundtrack could be pretty awesome.

Well done, especially for your first Ludum dare. I definitely enjoyed playing and I hope keep going with it and keep up the great work.

Would have been better with sfx and music, nice try though.
Aside from that I'd like to see a version expanded upon with sound and more enemy types!
