Single Room Designer

This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive

A small scale simulation of simple space saving smarts!

Single Room Designer has you decorating simple one-room houses with various furniture.

You can navigate around the room using your mouse. Hold and drag middle-click to slide the camera around and drag right-click to rotate.

Change between Build and Paint modes and choose between three different room layouts from the top menu!

In Build Mode, click an object in the left side list to pick up a piece of furniture to place. Click again to place it into the room. If the object turns red, it cannot be placed there!

Furniture you have already placed can be picked up again to be moved. Press Escape to cancel a move, Delete or Backspace to remove an object, or use < and > (period and comma) to rotate objects. (Note that wall-mounted objects do not rotate and snap directly to available wall space.)

In Paint Mode, click any color in the left side list to select it. The circle under the cursor shows your currently selected color. Every object has two regions to color. Color the first region with left-click and color the second region with right-click.

Under New Room, you can select a different room layout to decorate. Note that loading a new room will clear away everything you are currently working on!

Under Options, you can change the volume for sound effects and music, or exit the game.

Tip: If you find placement difficult or objects snapping in weird ways, try moving the camera around!
