Slimes

This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive
(may not load correctly).
'Slimes' is a 2-4 person couch-versus game.

I ran with the idea of slimes in traditional RPG's being able to split and re-form into a more formidable foe. Each controller stick moves a different slime, pairs of which can be merged into a single slime to solve puzzles and have more health in combat. You also merge into a single slime to combine items, like a bow and arrow.

Slimes is a game of coordination and communication. In a 3-4 person game, you share a controller, and often times a body, with another person and have to remain in-sync if you want to stay alive.

I eventually want to get a "story mode" made, which I would imagine might be similar to a Zelda game of sorts. But, being the theme of this jam was one room, the two modes I focused on instead are arena-style competitive games taking place in one room (plus, couch-multiplayer, one room..).
