Asteroid Blaster

A game made for Ludum Dare 39. It's a space shooter, where you're in a ship and have to harvest amethyst gems from asteroids in order to power your ship, which is constantly losing power. Avoid getting hit, or you will lose more power!

Objective

Your ship is on a limited power supply, powered by Amethyst, which may be found in floating asteroids. Destroy the asteroids to find Amethyst gems to power your ship for as long as possible! Keep in mind, shooting, movement and getting hit by asteroids all deplete your ship's power.

Developer Notes

This is the first game jam I've participated in, and therefore I wasn't fully prepared. The game lacks a lot of features due to time constraints, and I wasn't able to add background music as Incompetech was down.
