Jerry the donut eating engine driver’s train is getting hijacked by high technological robots and the robots have killed his crew except for one guy who committed suicide. There is also a bomb planted by these robots in the middle of the train. This bomb will blow up if the train slows down. Like in that movie you know. Jerry now needs to collect tools to defuse this bomb. And he loves donuts and will need one sometimes.
Instructions:
You must defuse the bomb to win. To defuse the bomb you will need all five items. To get the items you need to kill Reddit-bots. To kill Reddit-Bots you need to throw coal at them. To throw coal you must first pick up coal at the coal storage. At the same time, you need to fill up the train with coal so the train doesn't stop, because if it does you will explode.
Controls:
- E to pick up coal (at coal storage)
- E to fill up coal (at the front, if coal is picked up)
- E to pick up donut (at the donut table in the back of the train)
I'm really confused about what i have to do, there doesn't seem to be a way to interact with the bomb. Also i tried jumping off the train like the other guy but that just meant I fell off the map. Bonus points for intro and sound effects :P
For some reason there was maaaaassive lag at the beginning and I thought the whole thing had crashed.
The game is pretty confusing - it's not clear what the goal is (not sure if there are, if you could win or not). It's not clear in the game. Yes you've written some stuff here but that's still not clear. There are instructions in the game but sometimes instructions are contextual and only comes up in the right moment, sometimes they just are there and do nothing when you follow the instructions. Some consistency would help.
I'm guessing there's some kind of health system that the donut is tied to, I noticed that he became slow, but by the time I noticed that it was way too late and I couldn't get out of the situation.
I do like the visual styling, background, etc. Could be improved but fun.
Haha, well that was certainly an experience. After getting overwhelmed by reddit-bots the first go, I was able to use a few well timed coal nuggets to take them out. I got to the donuts, but apparently, I was too full to eat any (W didn't do anything when I stood on the donuts). I then decided to bail myself and fell down a very, very, very deep hole that didn't seem to have an end. Nice work!
Thanks for the response. Some people are saying that they don't know what they should do and I'm sorry. I didn't clarify in the game enough. Anyways, the goal is to kill Reddit-bots to get all five tools to be able to defuse the bomb. :D
I like it! Very funny. Indeed, it's not clear what you have to do at first. Maybe you can add a help screen or just a brief tutorial (like collecting your first item). Nice work!
At one point, while trying to stuff myself with donuts, I fell off the back of the train and fell into a deep blue void in which I could dance and look left and right while regretting my life choices. I like the graphics and I was chuffed to hear the train sounds.
Actually, I think you experienced a glitch that I know of. Just walk away from the storage and back again. Then you will be able to collect more coal. After the results, all glitches will be patched.
Thanks for the response @garazbolg, but I don't agree. The thing is that you have 5 "inventory spaces" and when you pick up an item you will only have 4. In that way, the game increases in difficulty.
Nice work, the game was a lot of fun to play and funny too! :) All the sound effects you made were great too :) I really liked his complaint when he got hungry :) Great job!
