Hi, guys! So, we wanna present to you our creation! It's slightly unworked, because we made a newcomer's mistake and encroached on a too big project. However, we tried very hard and we got something interesting! The story begins with the spaceship crashing. The planet, which have two cycles-a blue and a yellow day, greeted our hero with the death of the crew. The reason that character survived is pretty simple - he is a small robot, being nothing more than a service staff. However, he has intelligence... Or even more. The only chance to return home is to force the work of almost stopped FTL drive for a jump. This requires energy, which, however, is not enough. Yes, it have a bit of energy left in the undamaged part of the ship. But it's enough only for the robot itself. And... A couple of buildings! So far, not everything is lost, we must invest energy to extract even more energy! But who knows... Maybe someday we'll have to use energy to create weapons and protect us from creatures of the dark. (We didn't have enough time to make this during ludum dare, but if you like, we will do it!)
Instructions: You need to provide energy to your FTL-drive. It has 7 steps (current step and time in this step are displayed in the top right corner), each with different energy consumption. If it'll not have enough energy, it shuts down and you will never be able to escape the planet. Build different energy producers, batteries and relays to provide as many energy as possible and try to have some fun!
Controls: WASD to move, select building in bottom menu and click anywhere on ground inside energy zone (a blue sphere, first one is around the ship, you can build relays to make more energy zones) to build, Q/E to rotate buildings, right click to deconstruct buildings, hold middle mouse button to rotate camera, mouse wheel to zoom.
Cool, took me a bit to understood what's happening, since first thing i did on first play-through was B-line north (aka away from the blue done of energy thing). Maybe a bit of instructions even on the description area would help other players.
Great attempt! It feels challenging as it is. Especially love that its just one resource, both costs and survival rely on one unit.
Interesting, but it's really hard to understant what you have to do first. But despit all my try, I wasn't able to get any energy from the modules I built, I don't get their behaviour :( Maybe it's a bug (I played on the WebGL version)
Brilliant graphics and atmospheric sound, lovely theme, I just felt like there wasn't really any game to it. Building as many buildings as you couldn't didn't really have a down side and I didn't feel like the buildings were unique enough to warrant being separate.
Still this is the type of thing where with some more time I could have been exponentially better, but again, incredible atmosphere for such a short time.
Great 3D environment and soundtack, really immersive. The RTS gameplay was good but needs some more balancing, especially the tier 2 reactor which is very powerful. Unfortunately, after a while, the FTL Consumption number was going up and down a lot (from 1400 to 4000 then back to 1400) and I lost.
Overall a very solid entry in terms of graphics and sound, but the gameplay needs some refining and some bug fixes. Very interested to see what you guys will make in the future.
Took me a while to understand what I needed to do and how, but after that is was really nice. The graphics are very good and I liked the polis on the effects, like the ship hovering, the vignette on the screen, etc Very good job! I'm impressed that you made this in 2 days.
Nice game! Like what other said, took me a couple tries before I actually got to produce any energy (enough to build other things). Definitely good job on such a big project idea.
I love the graphics and that's a very nice builder, but everything costing energy that seems that seems quite difficult to progress after building one of each basic energy generator.
The environment and the music are great! The gameplay is not finish but it has lot of potential. I manage to get off the planet by focusing on wind power. Then the grow was exponential.
Very nicely done. Took a few tries to get the hang of it. I think improving the building descriptions and maybe adding a short tutorial would go a long way.
The graphics and music are great, and I like the idea! I was able to keep my energy production going pretty well, but I never quite figured out what the end game was. I'm guessing you ran out of time to get everything you wanted in there -- weapons, etc... but I had fun playing around with it. Thanks for sharing!
A good game with a lot of potential. What was there was solidly made if a little easy on the second try. Hope you carry on what you're doing as I'd like to see where it goes!
Interesting game. It took me a little bit to figure out what was going on, but once I got the hang of it I had a pretty good time. Great graphics and the sound was wonderful.
Great attempt! It feels challenging as it is. Especially love that its just one resource, both costs and survival rely on one unit.
