Cool graphics ! Very simple game mechanics. The intro scene is a nice touch, good job ! :)

I like the graphics, kinda hard though.

The maximum score I managed to get was 44 with 74 seconds. The game was pretty fun, the jokes are funny and the dialogues were humorous. Music was cheerful and matched the graphics style very well. The gameplay was simple but effective, being a bad guy is fun :P The control is pretty tight except occasional hiccup with key registrations when stealing apple (a lot of times when I run pass someone and timed the 'space' key and the game didn't register it and I didn't get the apple which was a bit frustrating). I rarely used the sprint and drop apple. Not using sprint because I find keep stealing apple already make me run pretty fast and dropping apple seems to only get rid of a few amount of enemy so it wasn't very effective it feels like.

I keep dying in corners because even though more power gives me faster speed, the turning speed is the same and turning around is when i get caught and surrounded :(

Overall it was a delightful, fun game to kill time with. Nicely done!

Something to work on in the future stable release I guess. :)

Nice entry! Really enjoyed running around and stealing dem apples. I agree with @jackyjjc that the turning-speed should be upped aswell when you shift-boost.

I like the artistic approach you did and the intro sequence was pretty cool aswell :)

It's a fun game, one little problem is the audio too loud, and you can't change in game, but the game is very fun, the graphic was pretty cool, and the gameplay it's simple, but fun, i like it a lot xD

The game is nice but needs some balancing changes.
turning arround should not be drainning you hunger/taxe gauge and you should not being so slow when your low.
Beacause here when you have an bad start (no on in your field of vision) it is almost insta-death and THIS IS NOT FUN !!!

Fun game! It controls a bit awkwardly with the shown WASD keys, but the arrow keys work fine.
I really liked the crazy mood set by the combination of the graphics and sound. Gameplay was a little odd to get into, but once you get it going, it's pretty great!

I liked this. Very appealing visual style, and I think the music went along well with it. The game itself felt a little simple, but I still had fun dashing about and stealing like a madman. Also glad to finally be able to give out some humor stars. Thanks for making this and sharing it!

This game was already putting such a huge smile on my face from the description, so to play it and have it give me even More of a smile was just so delightful. Was a little slow to learn how to play at first (I didn't realize there was a button guide at the start), but after that it was just incredibly fun to play. The most fun I had was simply turning around and seeing the giant army trying to kill you. Good work!

After score 130 it is really hard to get proper speed when you was hit. I wish to have more options in this case:)

Really fun game. Felt like it could use a bit of balancing though, there ware a few times I had to run a fair distance to get one apple and die because of it, and a few times millions of apples spawned near me.

Graphics are cool and refreshing. The intro give the game a nice touch but was a little bit too long.
Starting this slow make the difficulty ramp quit weird. It was more difficult at the start than after getting a decent speed, making it hard to understand what to do (i died in 3 to 5 seconds on my firts try).

A nice simple game, it's fun to run around while an army is chasing you. Some balance issues in the turn speed and how you slow down a lot when you get hit, but other than that, nice job!

Running around this adorable town was a good bit of fun! Really liked the game music and the graphics:) Took me a few tries to understand how to play, but once I got it, I had fun with it..thanks!

Only complaint visually is the zoom-out of the town doesn't look good compared to the rest of the game, but the zoom-in effect looks great. Consider forcing that zoom-in as soon as the game starts since the player has already agreed to being ready when they hit play (or replay).

About the controls, I agree with what people have said, but I'd also add that I'd like to be able to restart the game with space.

Oh yeah, a glitch: You can run through the buildings straight to out of bounds if you're going a little faster than the starting speed. I managed it in the line of buildings behind the player at start, and the plaza a little farther down (with 2 or 3 apples).

Great game with wonderful voice acting. Movement felt a bit sluggish on the turning side and the controls might have been a bit overdone for the simplicity of the game, but overall a good time.

- Menu looks really good probably one of the best menu i have seen in this jam
