Unfinished jam entry - boat building sorta works.

no pirates or sea-monsters
no salvaging.
building the boat is a bit flakey.

Story:
Your ship's engine has failed. Your ship is running out of power and starting to slow down.

Rejig the ship to reach the harbour, fighting off pirates and sea-monsters along the way.
