Solaris - Dying Sun
Solaris is a game about surviving a solar apocalypse.
As the sun dies and releases less and less energy, humanity must find a new way to survive: Offworld
Build parts to complete your rocket using energy harvested from the sun, while defending your city against aliens, who, for some inexplicable reason, are attacking you.
#### Gameplay
- Look around the world with the A and D keys
- Select buildings to place them
- Launch your rocket before time runs out!
#### Tools Used
- Unity Game Engine
- Photoshop, Blender and Substance Designer for graphics
- Audacity for audio
*This is my first time using unity ever, so some bugs are present and I wasn't able to add as many features as I would have liked. Still, I hope this is enjoyable.*

So.. first things first, you seemed to have messed up your Linux export slightly. The folder names for the Solaris_Data are wrong. The one that is called "Solaris.x86_64_Data" is actually the x86 data. I had to delete the other folder "Solaris_Data" as it was the x86_64 version and there was no x86_64 executable. Then I renamed the first folder to just "Solaris_Data" and I could run the game!
As to the game, I really liked the planet rotating idea. It seemed very interesting and fun to do.. though I didn't find much of a reason to rotate as I could place things down on top of each other.. When I realized this I started spamming solar panels in one spot and a few defense guns to keep the aliens at bay. It was rather easy at that point.
But, I still liked the rotating planet mechanic and found it really innovative.

This game at first confused me but when I gave it another chance I actually understood what I had to do. When I did the game was quite enjoyable. I am not gonna bash you for having a short game because my submission was quite short as well. Hope you enjoyed this LD.

Made with Unity, why not build for WebGL so Mac users can play too?

This was a very interesting and a pretty fun game. After you get a couple solar panels up you can just spam them and get the game over with very soon. Pretty fun though good job!

Nice game. If expanding, I agree with rigdonware that at a certain point you can span the solar panels. Some balancing out of costs, maybe increasing over time, might make game play a bit longer. I did get irritated at the aliens blasting my panels until I realized if I kept two at a spot I wouldn't have panels destroyed. Cool mechanic in the planet rotation.
