Nice game, good thing it got music (although it got quite repeative after a while). Options to restart level/quit instead of simply quiting on esc would be good. The Z & X buttons worked fine :)
Idea is ok, but the gameplay feels a bit frustrating. You could try to improve handling of the ship somehow. Currently I feel it rotates a bit too fast so that it becomes harder to aim at enemies. Alternatively faster bullets might help out a bit. I think I looked at the map probably more than the actual scrolling field. :) Theme fits quite well.
The secondary shot is very hard to use, since it moves slower *and* has to hit a moving target. It might be interesting to beef up the secondary shot, but require multiple shots (possibly from multiple angles) to kill an infected cell; that way chasing the bacteria is important and not just a distraction. Or maybe have infected cell shoot out bullets you have to strafe around. Anyway, the game is already pretty amusing as-is.
I liked the idea of different weapons for different creatures. The on screen radar was great.
I also liked the inertia of the ship, but maybe the turn speed was a little too fast.
It would be nice if the bacteria-shooting gun was used more often. Maybe there could be more bacteria, but they would move slower and not straight towards the next cell?
