Nice entry! I think the game needs a little more polish to fix some things (like UI getting behind things), but there is a really nice game for the compo. I'm having so much fun wiht my billions of kittens, but I really need a graveyard in the back for all those who died :_ Congrats! :D
I got killed by my cats :( Fun different kind of concept, I also made cat game with different type of mindset. I was going to post my "highscore" when i lost but there was no indicator on how many cats I had in the end?
Interesting game. I liked the concept of managing loads of kittens, and it getting more stressful as it progresses. The music was nice and I liked the visuals.
Unfortunately there seems to be a bug where a hungry kitten cannot be picked up. This is rather annoying because if they become hungry, there is nothing I can do and it's game over. The game play was simple which is fine, but it did get tedious over time.
Interesting take on the theme. It definitely became worse the more kittens I had. managing that was a nightmare! It was hard to know when I had food 'selected' from the fridge. an icon or food sprite attached to my mouse would have helped clear that up! I noticed if you don't hit ok on the notification box you don't get the kitten! This game was very meditative. Congratulations on finishing an LD!
Cute kitty game! The art is nice and pretty -- I like the angry cat the best -- and the music fits well -- nice and relaxing -- though I wish the song was a little longer. But I like the sound palette. Gameplay gets really hectic past the 15-mark... I was getting stressed for real! Very enjoyable game, good work!
Oh no I am a bad crazy cat lady. Interesting games with cats! It seems like I sometimes can't pick-up cats (HTML5 version), or maybe the hitbox is a bit small. Anyway, cute idea! :)
Ah, I didn't realize that hungry kittens cannot be picked up, and that you must click on the fridge followed by the kitten to feed it! Other than that small misunderstanding, I think you did an excellent job at making a game with a cohesive atmosphere that follows the theme.
Came for cats found some. :) Funny to see that someone had quite the similar idea as we did and to be able to compare our approaches. ^^ I like your approach with scrolling and needing to feed and clean every cat individually. In our idea we weren't able to make good use with our scrolling feature. I think some additional cat sounds would have been good to increase the stress factor and on the same time as a sound cue if a cat is hungry, wants to play or needs to be cleaned. Overall good job!
Nice Game, simple and clear, there are some improvements you can do, maybe drag n drop holding the mouse button, instead of make click to pick and click to drop. An indicator that tells you if have picked food. and a score at the end of the game. You fit the theme perfectly.
