Bug Free?
About the game:
‘Bug Free’ is a farming simulator and a tower defense game. You need to grow and sell crops for money, but you also need them to defend your little farmhouse from nasty bugs.
*The challenge is finding the perfect balance between defense and income.*
Our team:
We are two students of media and computer science. This is our first Ludum Dare and our first jam overall. Only one of us had experience in game development, but the development went a lot better than expected so we are very proud to share the result with you.

This is a very goooood game. The idea is fun, the music is good, and the story/tutorial is great. One small complain there is too many bugs too fast. Overall a very good LD game. Well done.

I love this game! The idea is fun, I like the art style and the audio. And you guys even had a very well executed tutorial as well! There were few things that could've improved the experience a lot:
- Wave timer (e.g. how long until the next wave starts) just so you can prepare
- Crop timer/health (e.g. how long until the crop's fully grown, now it was just guesstimating)
- Quick keys for hammer/shovel/watering can/music (e.g. 1-4 to select respective item, now it was nearly impossible to quickly take care of your crops amidst of a wave since you had to always move the mouse across the screen multiple times to achieve this)
- Some info about different crops (and maybe also differentiate them a bit more, didn't ever manage to place down carrots though)
All in all very well executed game! What is it with the amount of Tower defense / X that spun up during this LD? :D I made also a Tower Def, but combined it with match 3 puzzle (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/runetowers if you're interested to take a look :) )

Fantastic game, one of the games i played the most, I got to wave 25, you guys should really make a disclaimer for people with tendonitis, it can be harmful, hehe. The audio and music could get tiresome but theyre good, just a little loud, and the artstyle is fantastic. Good job!

Holy crap those bugs are fast. My finger is sore from smacking those bugs so much, but it was really satifying watching the little BAM pop up. The art in this is really well done and consistent

Daamn! I got quite addicted! Very very nice game! I love tower defense games, and the fact of having to grow your towers is a very original and fitting twist! Awesome job!
My only complaint would be that hitting with the hammer ended up making my finger hurt :P

The only thing I can complain about is that I think the plants take too much time to grow, so replacing them to earn money becomes really dangerous.

Great job! Amazing concept and well executed. A little on the hard side (couldn't beat it, or even get NEAR 1000 gold) but overall really fun. Nice work!

this is like Plants vs zombies x idle game and with bugs xD i really liked this idea.
Art was nice, sound effects were decent.
My main suggestions would be: balance out the audio volume, hammer was too loud compared to background music, should lower the volume of the hammer smash.
