NOTE: I have fixed a few errors post submission in the server and client. I will attempt to improve the framerate on mobile devices as well.
Sorry about that :O it seems that it takes a few attempts to load the game if it hasnt been loaded before (it makes mysterious errors on the console for me) and sometimes it just doesn't work. Verified that the server is still up though
I also had to restart the game a few times to get it to load, but I then jumped into a round by myself. It was relaxing just exploring and collecting. I ended up finding 9 species and couldn't come up with the 10th anywhere! I only found 2 in the desert biome. Was there supposed to be 3?
Nicely done. I think with other people it could be a fun race. I would make the player's sprite go on top of the creatures though, until you pick them up.
I took some time to get what was going on, but when you understand it gets interesting. It's a fun game, i could see this going on pretty well with some more time working in it. The Humor on this game is pretty good, and i like the art style that you chose for this game. Great Job! =D

More species could be fun, and maybe some music.
The gathering works well, though it feels like some areas have gotten more love than others in regards to the number of available species to collect.
I wish there was a little more complexity (obstacles, etc), but it's totally understandable for jam game.
Really fun exploring the different biomes and trying to find all 10!
