Typer: (Word Search X Top Down ARPG)

Foreword

The Theme

The choosen theme was: "Mix two incompatible genres." This was the theme that I had dreaded the most. After coming up with the idea for typer, I was a little more satisfied.

A Quick Restart

My original project was going to be a cross between the grid-based and shoot em' up genres. I worked on this for 3-4 hours on friday night, but the movement was very unsatisfying. If something as simple as moving is not satisfying, it is probable that the game will not turn out well. Knowing this, I restarted.

Now

I plan on continuing work on this game, but will likely scrap the bits related to the theme. The word-search aspect feels very out of place, and I will probably replace the crafting system with a shop or vendors.
