The 2 incompatible genres are platformer and minigames. Everytime you jump on an enemy you get to play heads or tails. The idea was to have to play a different minigame every time (e.g. like Wario Ware).
Unfortunately I ran out of time, due to some nasty bugs and not having the whole 48 hours available due to social obligations. I shouldn't have spent this much time on the level generation algorithm either.
What's missing: * fancy backgrounds, * bleepy music, * cool sfx, * many more minigames, * an actual goal, * timer * checkpoints * score
Still, it's playable and the parts that are there seem to work fine.
First! Was going through the pico-8 list and found this one. The graphics are nice, but are the levels generated and how? Interesting work, hopefully you'll have more time during the next jam. =)
really nice concept, of course it would be more interesting to have a different minigame than a purely luck based coin flip, but the idea is there! i always love seeing pico8 games. the art is pretty nice, and i like the variety of enemies!
