Talk Block Chronicles

This is my submission for LD41.

First I wanted to make a game to mash up fishing and dating simulators. After the first day I came to conclusion that I am not good enough to make it in a way thats fun even for me to make.

On second day I thought "What if it was Tetris, but you had to talk to the blocks?". And that's how this thing was born.

This was fun to make. Its very short and makes no sense so I feel like I did good since those two things are what I aim for. I had more stuff planned and unsurprisingly did not have the time to make any of them, so this is what it is now.

If you happen to play it, I hope you at least got a laugh out of it.

Shoutouts to the Unity Fungus plugin. Zero lines of code was written in the process of making this.

Things I learned:

- Take breaks. Breaks are important.
- Plan well before executing and document that plan somehow so when you forget you have a refresher
- Art is important but the need can also be circumvented
- Tetris blocks are fun to draw, even for a person who has never drawn anything
- Remember to have fun, if you laugh at your own idea or while making the thing, that's enough
- Seriously, remember to take breaks and eat. And drink. Water.
