About

This time around, I’ve gone a bit non-conventional for my game, and made a Discord bot that runs a game in a Discord server for you! I’ve never made a Discord bot before, so this was (mostly) a ton of fun to make! If you're familiar with Mafia/Warewolf, you might be familiar with this game ;) This is also my first time running anything on an AWS server, so that was a learning curve.

Instructions

- Just jump in and follow what the bot tells you to do!
- This requires at least 5 people in the game to work well. (4 might work, but it doesn’t make a balanced game).
- Once you have all players in the server, run the start command (below) for the bot to configure your server. Please note, once the game has started, no new players can join, and if any leave, the game will probably break.
- Please note, the Server Owner will be able to see every channel, which isn’t configurable by discord. Unfortunately, I am relying on people being honest with this and not cheat. I recommend the owner right clicking the '#dead' and '#infected' channels and muting them as soon as the game starts.

WARNING!

BEFORE YOU PROCEED: START A NEW DISCORD SERVER FOR THIS! THIS WILL DELETE ALL NON-REQUIRED CHANNELS BEFORE THE GAME STARTS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

If you’re sure about it, go ahead and type ‘!startgame’ in any channel. This will delete all other channels and begin the game.
