This is my first time participating in Ludum Dare and i rarely finished. There was much more planned.
But now to the game.
You´re playing the black rectangle. You can walk with the left joystick, you can jump with a and you can hit enemys with x, if you near enough to them.
The green rectangles are the enemys.
You loose if they hit you. You win if no enemy is left.
If you hit an enemy the will get yellow. You don´t loose if you get hit from the yellow enemy.
Now we´re coming to the LD theme. Because there is this orange outside on the edge which will get closer to the main center every 10 second. If you touch the orange you loose. If an enemy touches the orange it dies.
You also loose the game, if there still are enemys left after the orange would get closer the fourth time!
@falk-bruskeland I´m sorry i might should have said that you have to press y or b on the controller. Because you can only play the game on controller. Or didn´t it worked although you pressed the buttons on the controller ?
Played it, and completed both levels! There was a sweet spot were you could hide ✌ I am impressed by the AI, which seems to understand how the level is setup! Great job for a first LD! 😄 You did a game!
Great first attempt. Hitting was a bit difficult and I can also confirm there was a hiding spot but regardless the path finding of the enemy was well done. Well done.
Can't play it because I'm not on windows so I won't be rating it but I can give you one nugget of feedback just based on the screenshot alone. The color selection is umm, quite aggressive. I can wholeheartedly recommend https://coolors.co/ for getting some eye pleasing color combinations.
Nice first entry and welcome in the LD crew! :) The arena feeling works well. While triggering a fail condition after the 4th reduction felt weird while reading, it pushes you to action, so that's kind of a clever move.
The game goes way too fast for me. I'm playing with a 144 hz monitor, so it's running more than 2x as fast as it should be. I'm impressed with the path finding though - rather well put together apart from the framerate issue.
I like the gameplay you got here. It took me a while before i knew that I cannot touch the walls. The AI movement is good but may be a bit fast for me. AI programming is hard so 👍 for that.

Good job!
Great entry and keep up the work!
