Something about tentacle...

First and foremost don't juge us too hard on the theme. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

#### How to play?

WASD for moving and click to shoot.

You can hold the click button pressed. (But then you won't hear the sound of the protagonist, yes another bug).

If the enemy touch you the darkness comes closer. If you hit the darkness to many time you dieeee.

Like ou last game it's very hard. Too hard! It's a shame though. Because if you could hold on 5 min the final boss comes.

Post Scriptum

We realised with the comment that some bug made the game unfinnishable. Like permanent invisible hitboxes. We tweeked a couple of lines and here is a revised version. Don't count it in your votes. But if you want to have a bit more fun...

The graphics and audio are awesome, but I seem to be unable to make a difference in how fast I die. Is that me or the game? I never got any better because I couldn't see that any of the running or stabbing I was doing were having any effect. It looks cool, but playing was maybe a little too Cthulhu.

Really interesting! I swear I only got hit once but after a few minutes the darkness just suddenly closed in and engulfed me. Up until then I loved the way it worked, hacing to drive it back. I think with the way you have to hold it down, a holy beam or something would work a lot better. The art and animations were really nice though. Some more variety in enemies would have been nice but that's the LD for you! Good job :)

@dylanbr Thanks! Yeah we had lots of ideas, like a massive explosion that would kill nearby enemies and repel the darkness, a flying sidekick, various weapon patterns...

I really liked the drawings and the animations. The background tentacle-mist thing was great. Graphics wise you could've improved the shooting a bit (by adding an animation), but other than that you did a good job.

Awesome game, love the art style. I wasn't able to reach the boss, but i tried ! it seem to me that darkness come closer even when i don't seem to get hit.

Great mood. I would have loved to have some secondary thing to do apart from shooting whatever appears on the screen (maybe collect coins, grab items or something). This way, playing more than once has the added challenge of improving your performance.

I liked the art style, really makes Lovecraftian atmosphere, liked the gameplay, it keeps on tension. Wish there were more of this things.

Really great quick timer. The graphics are phenomenon and add the right mood to the game. The gamplay is very fast and maybe too difficult. But that's just an individual problem, it doesn't mean that the game is not good. It would be better, however, if there was some kind of procedural progression in the difficulty instead of having it so hard at the beginning.

- PROS: AWESOME graphics and mood. Fun gameplay, enjoyable animations and fitting backgrounds.
- CONS: Shooting sounds were more like a sci-fi laser which didn't fit that well to the theme of the game, but that's just a minor stuff. Maybe too hard from the very beginning. (P.S.: My claustrophobia says, it didn't like it).

Interesting idea, amazing graphics. The soundtrack could've been a bit more interesting to add to the dark mood of the game. Something in the style of Diablo would really work here. The scream after you die is just awesome. It's a pity I couldn't survive to see the final boss, I imagine it would be really beautiful. Good job, guys!
