Out of all of the two game jams I've ever attended (counting this one), this is the first one I actually managed to finish! My goal before I entered was to make a playable game, and in my opinion it went pretty well :)
The sprites for this game are all hand-drawn and cleaned up in Photoshop. I usally not consider myself an artist and more of a programming guy, but this time I didn't feel like just making really bad placeholder pixel art like I usally do when I make games. So I tried something different, and I'm pretty happy with how the look of the game turned out!
The graphics for this game are pretty cute. Especially the main character, which I think is really well done. It looks like you have some like, speckled artifacts maybe from scanning them in? I think it'd look better if you did a little editing to clean up the sprites a little.
Gameplay is pretty standard, but seems to work well. I think it might help if you had the items spawn from above the top of the screen so that you have more time to react to them.
Cute art, gameplay is working well. It is a bit unfair at times, but that's ok. I think your title would benefit a lot from some sound effects and or music. I love the mood the main character is creating!
nice pencil drawn artwork, absolutely love it !, the gameplay also simple and addictive, this can easily get ported and made into unlimited jumping kind of game, well done !
A few tips: - spawn the objects off screen so the player can't see them spawn - write somewhere within the game that 'r' is to restart or have a retry button - allow for players to move the items (I got stuck in a little cave where I couldn't get squished but no more items could fit into where I was so I would never die)
Really cool game! The player animation looks good and melds well with player control, and the sprite switching makes those movements feel much more deliberate in navigating the smoothly moving objects.
Really cool graphism but it lacks sounds and music... I think the game is a little too rough and the concept is quite common. It fits the theme though.
@alexander-tan@4thwallstudios There is a restart button! Its R. I wrote it in the description but I should have made it more clear in-game, especially in the game over screen :D
The art for this game is amazing! The gameplay is a bit minimalistic, but fun. If I had one complaint it would be that the camera does not quite frame the gameplay well.
I like that the objects came in all sizes, the first thing that fell down on me was a tiny tiny clock and it was adorable haha. The blob character is really appealing and has nice squash and stretch :) I think hand-drawn stuff like this is super cool and am glad I came across this, thanks for making it!
Hey albin cool concept! Occasionally the game was so tricky when i got cornered by objects and then i got a finishing blow from a falling object from the sky haha. If ther would be powerups or some way i could sometimes destroy objects would be a nice way to break some difficult scenarios. Overall fresh idea and good physics fun with unique hand drawn arts style, nicely done. :)
Great Game Albin!, The Graphics are really nice!. I hid under a bunch of tv  . Great Concept but could use some work. Other than that its a really fun game!
The graphics and animation are really very successful. It may lack a test to avoid the "infinite part" when the character is surrounded by objects, but not crushed by them. :-)
I like it! I like the graphics as well, but I think it would have looked even better if the text had the pencil drawn look to make everything cohesive. The gameplay was also kind of challenging but fun. I wish there was some sound, even a simple background music, but all in all it was well done!
@albin Really like the art, gameplay is simple and has been done before in many games but still was decent, good job buddy. Do check our game and leave some feedback.
I really, really liked this one. The art style is fresh and new instead of the usual pixelart and the character is simple but likeable. The controls felt good and comfortable. This is currently my number one for this jam.
Please try out my game and let me know what you think!
I liked the hand drawn art and especially the animated blob as it felt nice to control it seeing it react to the movements. The un-skippable delay after "game over" made me not play it for too long since I died quite often =)

It's simple but fun. And I like the character style.
my best: 15.
- spawn the objects off screen so the player can't see them spawn
- write somewhere within the game that 'r' is to restart or have a retry button
- allow for players to move the items (I got stuck in a little cave where I couldn't get squished but no more items could fit into where I was so I would never die)
I'd say keep going with the pencil drawn art, could be really cool. Great job!
Keep coding :)
This game fun for a bit, and the graphics are really charming.
A little thing I noticed was that I had to reload the web-version to try again after failing ^^
Thers a lack of UI and replay button but i think that's due to the compo time limit.
wow
Do check our game and leave some feedback.
Please try out my game and let me know what you think!
Fun little game!
