Petris is just like Tetris, only pet-themed! Manoeuvre the pieces (petriminos) to complete rows and earn points. You lose when the stack reaches the top of the screen.

Controls:

Left + Right arrows: move the current petrimino left or right

Up arrow: rotate the current petrimino by 90 degrees clockwise

Down arrow: 'soft drop' - speed up the descent of the current petrimino

Space key: 'hard drop' - drop the current petrimino instantly

G key: toggle the grid overlay on/off

C key: open/close the controls panel

Esc key: open/close the pause menu

Genres: puzzle

Tools: Unity

Solid tetris clone. It was cute and fun although the petris sound felt out of place.

Solid but a bit dull. I have long gotten over Tetris as a challenge so all that was left to do was grind out the score. I got a little bored. But I did think : maybe my daughter would like this. She is 7 and a sucker for animals and a lover of a good pun!

Cute little tetris clone. The # of lines speedup is missing but otherwise a pretty solid recreation. Nice to be able to jump into the occasional game and already know how to play.

Would've liked to have seen more tie in with the theme though, there's probably lots of fun additional ways to incorporate running out of space into tetris. Didn't prevent me from playing for like 25 minutes though!

Well, I like the game, but I don't like that childish pet-theme of the graphics and the gameplay isn't yours. It's a solid Tetris clone with a graphic theme that I personally don't like, but a good entry!

Like the fact that it had the 'PETRIS' bonus. Good sound and polished graphics, but not very original and a little boring. (Some music might've livened it up too)

A cute spin on the Russian classic. My girlfriend thought the artwork and pet theme was really cute. Funny sound effects too! Was it hard to code a Tetris clone? Might be fun to try. Game played well. Nice work!

I like the style of the graphics, but maybe the different pets could have some kind of abilities to make this more different from standard Tetris? But overall the controls are good and the UI is very nice.

Your game is very nice to play. The general impact is positive.
As a professional game dev I would suggest... just kidding haha
Nonetheless, if you want to work on this project more I suggest making a difficulty incresing algorithm.
Graphics - very nice. Controls are also working very well.
Maybe you could also take a glimpse at my game? I already enlarged it into a wholesome Android game :)

You managed to do a good tetris game. i like the idea of putting the animal's sounds, but you should work a bit more on your impersonation of animals haha. Too bad we were not able to turn the pieces as they fall.
Try another Game Design for the next ludum dare. Anyways, nice game !
