Pirate's Greed
Hey you, traveler! Ready to help one unlucky pirate to reach his island and avoid sinking in a sea on the ship full of treasures? Sure you do! So don't waste your time and help this poor guy to survive! Meanwhile, the parrot will tell you some jokes to make this 3-minute journey unforgettable!
Push/throw treasures from the ship, but don't forget to leave some treasures as well (pirate will be thankful).
But be careful, don't let the ship sink under the weight of treasures, always check ship overload level (grey slider on the top left side).

AWSD - movement
Left Mouse - grab a treasure
Right Mouse - throw a treasure
Left Shift - restart

bdw, the game stays calm after the end-message only when you close it via "cross" sign(by design). But "restart" button should work fine :smile:

This game is a lot of fun! Love the concept and the dialogue. Some nice art, animations and music there too! The walk animation sometimes didn't play but that's to be expected for LD. Great job!

fun entry! i just kept knocking treasure off, which felt bad, because as a pirate i want as much treasure as possible.

I really like the pirate-ish mood of the game. The graphics is great, the music is nice, the parrot's remarks are awesome, and what's important is that it all fits together really well! Talking about flaws, the walking animation is lagging, the ship's movements don't transit to the pirate and the parrot and I would probably expect a little bit more from the gameplay, maybe at least the ability to jump over the chests. The idea with the overload is really nice though. In any case, the game is complete and has a greate atmosphere. You've done a great job, guys!

Actually, jumping was in plans at the beginning, but then we decided to cut it - to make all in time.
Perhaps, we will add it in a post-jam version. It may add a huge bunch of variety to the game

Cool game! I especially loved the joke telling parrot :D
The music is a bit chaotic, but has a nice priate mood, i like it! In the game, i am not sure why i should keep treasure out from my boat. It seemed like a lose at some point despite having little treasure.
I was able to figure out the controls pretty fast. Nice game!

@rongo-matane Considering the losing conditions, perhaps the game didn't count some treasure as discarded. Or, the next wave of treasures was too heavy.
It uses a simple trigger box to flag the treasures that are on the boat. And sometimes it can be glitchy.

Not a bad game at all, the gameplay was fun however got a little bit chaotic with the UI, in future i'd recommend making the UI not so large and to time it with certain slower parts of the gameplay so it can be read easily. The music was lovely but it did cut out through the gameplay which was a shame, the art style was nice and clean, very well done!

An interesting game. Pretty fun to try though I was probably doing something wrong, as some of treasures I was pushing off the ship still counted as being onboard. Resulting in gameover.
I suspect i had to click on treasure to pick it up and them right click to throw it out. but simply pushing was... more fun.
Also the parrot idea was good, but with this kind of chaotic gameplay, it's really hard to pay attention to what it is saying.

in the web version when you close this end message the game just like stais there and nothing is happening
But thats the most funny
enjoyable game ive tested so far
the music is great
the dialogue bubble are great
the graphics are childish and everything just snaps together so perfectly
