I don't know if this is intentional, but I got stuck and couldn't close the "Contact Technical Support" popup.
The game was hilarious though, reminds me of my friend's old laptop. It would have been fun to interact with the ads a bit further and see what happened, quite a few more jokes could be fit in through there.
Great nostalgic graphics. Love the ads you came up with. I'd love to have some sort of score, though it would be more a test of endurance than anything else lol.
Great fidelity to the original material, both graphically and gameplay wise. I don't know if I can get over the contact support popup because I always seem to crash after that, not sure if I'm missing something. Good job!
Hello @fullmontis@ectucker1 Thank you for your rewiews :) , you can pass the contact support, but you have to dot it quickly because the pop up keep appearing in the background. You have to make several clicks on several elements to pass it :) Good luck
Great homage to the reality that was win95. Loved the concept and execution, loved the attention to detail with the BSOD and the start menu that works and all! Great entry :)
I don't understand the game, I already have the same ads on my computer :D No serioulsy it's a good idea. But maybe it miss of a real goal, like make a purchase on internet or something else? Keep the good work guys :)
Would have been great to have a scoring system with eventually combo, and to have a scene to see all the add that we closed (cause I feel like you put a lot of time in the fake add design and some of them looks really fun, but the game want me to close it before I can read it). Overall it's a good entry.
Interesting idea, executed really well. You got the look and feel of Win95 down perfectly , as well as the annoying ads of the 90's to 2000's. These are pretty dang funny too, couldn't help but laugh at them.
The game is pretty hard to play using a trackpad, though, so I couldn't get even one minute... Not a criticism of your game, just stating that I sucked at it!

-Adding an online scoreboard would be great, and a very good reason to keep playing, so you can win your friends. So far, the game is good, but not replayable.
-Giving more feedback to the user, the first time I didn't knew why I had lost, until I figured out you don't lose for time, but because the screen is full of adds. Adding some UI to see that would have been great.

Are you trying to give me anxiety? Because you're giving me anxiety. 😂 I managed 211 seconds before I just let it end. I could've continued, but I lost the will to. Like I've seen mentioned above, some kind of goal to reach while the ads keep escalating might've been a good motivator. I kinda wanted to talk to the pretty lady that messaged me; I am sure she wasn't a bot. 😛

Really really funny game. You must have had fun making this, I know I would have. Loved the sound effects and the ridiculous text on the ads. Great theme integration, awesome job!
Creative use of the theme! The skype noise tripped me up for a second because I was like "Wait, didn't I uninstall Sykpe?" only to realize it was coming from the game. Very funny!
Very good way of simulating the most annoying experience ever :D It's hard to call this game "fun", but it's for sure well done for its purpose. I wish the difficulty would scale up a bit during the game, so disabling adds gets harder in time - with a bit longer timer on bluescreen. This could add more to the playing experience. Overall, really good idea, I liked how you did it, these sounds triggered my inner Aggretsuko. Good job. :)
I think visually you nailed the aesthetic of 90s computer interfaces. Audio-wise I believe a few of the sound effects were out of place (mainly the Skype and Discord sounds) as they are from applications that were not in use during that era. In terms of gameplay, you managed to turn what is usually the major annoyance of getting rid of ads into a pretty fun experience and a creative take on the theme. I would suggest adding a bar or some sort of visual indication as to how many more adds you can let come on the screen before the game ends.
The humor and way you approached the theme are great! The art fits the game perfectly as well. The audio could've been improved with some music and noises that fit the era of using Internet Explorer better! The game was fun as well, but I felt like there wasn't anything to work towards. There were some unique popups (like the one you would have to tick several boxes for), but there wasn't a sense of progression that made me want to keep working towards a high score, and I ended up just giving up. Adding something on the UI (like a Task Manager displaying RAM usage) would be a great way to let people know how they're doing in terms of whether they'll lose or not! Good job on your game!
