It's a game where you gotta move between windows real slick like y'know, or else a black box will eat you and you'll lose. Stuff gets harder the longer you go.
Controls:
WASD - Movement
Space - Open a new window
Been a while since I partook in a LD, I made this with Java and LWJGL3 which was a bit of a rockier start compared to my previous entries so I didn't find time for real graphics, or sound, or text, or really anything of value.
If your red square gets overtaken by the darkness all of your windows will self-destruct and it's game over man. The game should spit out a nice little highscores text file though marking your longest times hopping windows. glhf
The concept is incredibly innovative, I love it. Looks like the whole game is incredibly complicated to program. As a result it's fairly buggy and hard to control. With more time I think this could turn into something very original and fun.
This is an great concept and with work it could be an amazing game but right now jumping windows is super clunky and inaccurate. If there was a way to fix that it would make the game a lot more playable.
Pretty good use of the theme and innovative too! I had a lot of trouble moving to other windows though. Sometimes it would look like I could cross over only to either end up in a window in the opposite direction or just a straight up loss. Well done!
Very neat and innovative! Window jumping isn't perfect, i often try going to one window but end up teleporting to somewhere in another window and then dying. If you gave this some tweaking, this would be awesome!
I really like games that use different windows as gameplay. It's very innovative. That being said, I feel like it needed more polish because sometimes it felt like the windows were acting weird. A little more gameplay like enemies or obstacles would have been nice too. The self-destructing windows to end the game was a nice touch too. Good job!
