You are a fierce warrior of the ancient Aztecs, however, one of the sacred temples is being invaded by a rival tribe. You are tasked with defending the idol that rests within the temple.
As you fight more and more waves of enemies, the gods look kindly upon you and allow you the chance to make an offering of a human sacrifice in order to restore your health or upgrade your weapon.
The blessing of Xochiquetzal, the goddess of fertility allows you to restore what little health you have, where as the blessing of Mixcoatl, the god of the hunt, allows you to upgrade your spear and do more damage.
@BoopsGames Thank you! Yeah I think it was a consequence of the time constraints, I wanted to incorporate more platformer elements but focused a bit too much on the system itself. Thank you for the kind words
It's a good idea with a nice theme built around it. I think you could have done a bit more on the gameplay side of things though, by that I mean more ways of attacking the enemy and certain enemies forcing you to use different tactics. But otherwise you did a good job with the time constraints you had. Good Job :)
@call-me-nutty Thanks a lot! Yeah I reckon if I would have done it again, I probably would have made enemies spawn from both the left and the right and have the idol in the middle, probably would have made it a bit more of a challenge. Glad you enjoyed it!
@calmurion Thanks a lot! Could you describe the bug?
