This game was made in two days using Unity for Ludem Dare. Fight against a swarm of oncoming rats in this tough retro shoot-em-up!

Description 2:

_My ludem dare game is a retro shoot-em-up about the intricate power struggle between the rats and the birds. The expanded universe is sure to come soon. I'm sure that this will hit off, the new Star Wars anyone? Look, all I'm saying is, if you want in on the eventual Rat vs Bird hype train for it's 100 year anniversary in 2118 (which I will be alive for because all the revenue from this game allowed me to create an anti-aging machine and now Jonathan can't take my lunch money anymore because I'll be so powerful, buy your own lunch, jack*ss). Anyways, you'll surely find the 800 hours of thrilling GaymePlay(trademark pending) worth the price tag of 0.001 yes thats right I take one tenth of a cent from the poor every time someone downloads this game HAHAHAHHA. Well, I have school tomorrow, if this game isn't at E3 it's probably because Jonathan bullied me into suicide._

Very nice game! Simple gameplay and nice graphics. You should host it on itch io as an HTML project so that people can play it without downloading it :)

@pukami Currently my unity crashes when I try to export it to anything but windows. But I'll try on another computer.

@jaydonteh Thanks! There is an ending, and while I wouldn't call it Shakespeare it does hint at Rat Vs Bird V 1.1! (Hint: New enemies, new areas, new everything!)

Nice graphics. I like this.
I think should limit the way I fill the ammunition, because I can press the left and right buttons together all the time.
Upgrading Ammo doesn't make sense.

@xphere Hmm, if it's really bad I would recommend switching your projecting options by pressing Windows+P and set it to second screen or first screen only. I also have two monitors but the transition area is at the bottom left. Also, thank you

The game looks great, very lively and colorful.
I kinda wish the rats didn't explode when they touched the ground, but would rather run at you. It would make more sense, like in that old Win95 game that did something similar.

I liked the cutscene visuals too, though the text and the timing of the text could use a bit of work.

Man, this game is difficult! But also very fun, I like it! The graphics is nice, I like the chosen colors and the chicks are very cute. The soundtrack fits the game and has a very positive feel. I like that you added an complex options menu and a tutorial in the beginning. The gameplay is very fast and fluently, I liked the health drops.. the reload I might have switched towards a more powerfull attack (which needs time to charge), like a ray or aoe.
All in all very nice!

I feared my card would not hold the next-gen graphics but I was wrong ;D The graphics are nice, especially background and I liked the sfx. The tutorial made me smile, the only problem are some plotholes but that's no big deal. Waiting for the sequel.

BIRDS!!!

Something better than angry birds in less than 2 days. This is one of those few compo pixel art entries that actually work very well. The only things I didn't like was the particle effects and a minor issue with rats going off screen. I might be biased towards anything that has feathers and a beak, this game is awesome. Sequel, now.
