title.pngThis game was created for the Ludum Dare 43 with the theme Sacrifices must be made. In the game you control a character and go through a number of platforming challenges based on the fact that you take damage if you go up too far. Mistakes can have you fall into holes that you must climb out of leaving your character battered.

Got super interested in what, where and why i was; but struggled with figuring out what was killing me. Otherwise very compelling!

Good job! I played through a few times, finished it on my second and third time, and only went up to the second level at the end. I wish the platforming controls were a little tighter, because I wanted to get the best ending but I kept slipping off some of the smaller platforms.

I like the game's tone, which was really dark and foreboding. Kind of reminded me of Eversion with how much worse the character got over time. The story left a lot to the imagination too, which was nice.

Overall, good job!

Very nice game. The only dark point is the soapy platform and the collision, but it was a good expenrience.

Could you set your game to "Windows Download" on your itch page? I would like to play it via Itch client but it shows as "not available on Windows".

Thanks for the update.

I just played it. I like the premise a lot. It's a good mix of memory and dexterity and fits the theme well.

For a jam the graphics are good, but some animation might have given the game a bit more polish. The music helps create a dense atmosphere and text elements are a nice way to communicate the mood even better.

Main main issue was that the controls could have been a bit tighter, as sometimes I was stuck on a ledge that I wanted to jump up on but instead I fell and lost a precious hit point.

Other than that it's a very solid entry, good job!

Edit: I just realized that you can dash. With that I managed to finish the game. Nice ending! I think I may have preferred the dash as a keyboard command as there are no other mouse controls in the game.
