OBLATION

Made from a scratch within 48 hours during LD43 compo. Oblation is a relaxing light puzzle game with pixel graphics. You play as a priest and you must sacrifice citizen in order to ascend into the heavens. Invading army is advancing in your city and tries to get to you, so be quick! Avoid sacrificing wrong citizen.

:keyboard:HOW TO PLAY

- A, D / Left arrow, Right arrow to select person
- W / Up arrow to sacrifice
- S / Down arrow to release
- F1 to restart

Power of the pyramid increases with each right sacrifice. Fill the bars up and you will ascend to safety.

The game is pretty cool. To be honest, I don’t understand if there are ways to loose, but, anyway, it is really nice puzzle game:)

Nice pixel art!, characters are easy to read. not sure if by design but with the select its a little hard to see who "is up to bat" could be cool to add little text like "please not me" or "spare me honorable gods"

Really interesting game, great job!
Not sure if it's only me but sometimes I confuse left and right due to directions that the characters move, would've loved to be able to configure input settings or maybe toggling a checkbox for reverse input.

Well, nice and simple, i liked it. My only complain is that it isnt a clear lose/win scenario, so it could use a point system. Also, the pixelart is really nice, makes you able to identify the citizens after not even a minute playing, so you can play faster.

Graphics are really beautiful, sound helps to create a mood. It wasn't very clear to me if I could win somehow. It felt like I was condemned anyway, regardless of how many people I sacrificed.

Sound effect is a little annoying, maybe too load.
Easy play, fun but not that fun.

Simple gameplay and the visual effects were really nice which encouraged me to continue playing. The sound effects were not as satisfying because they didn't really fit in with the relaxing feel of the gameplay and music.

The art was excellent and was full of detail. Good job!
