VoidOver was a small game created for Ludum Dare 43.
It was created in under 1 hour ... I have my reasons okay. I forgot Ludum Dare was this weekend.
Void is about a Creature / Simulation / Everything. It will get and end you even when sacrifices are made.
Controls: WASD - Move ARROW KEYS - Shoot MOUSE - To make sacrifices This is the least amount of effort I have ever put into anything... Please don't spank me D:
For your info the game is supposed to close on defeat or anything you do wrong The reason for this is to "simulate" a corruption due to the game supposedly corrupting it self upon defeat. This was not though included due to the belief that this would be against the rules. So technically speaking you would only get 1 run at this :D

its fun to try to balance the two bars. but if you die the game closes wich makes me lose interest in opening it again. you should try to reset the level or ad a menu :)
@jannick-larsen Its supposed to close :) I actually wanted to make the file corrupt itself when you lose. But I thought that might be against the rules.
The instant quit of the game is kind of … make me lose interest in the game. At first I thought the game had crash but no.. It would be better to reset the level..
Going for a bit of an Isaac vibe? :wink: The game was very bare but for a one hour effort it's alright! The mood managed to be surprisingly oppressive and intense once the enemy spawns ramped up.
Impressive for a 1-hour work. "Sacrifice Other" was confusing, could have just said "Sacrifice Firepower", unless I'm missing some lore or something. Fun core mechanic, could have used a menu or some form of limiter on the audio, whether it limited the number of death sounds playing simultaneously or if you just slapped a limiter on the audio mixer.
Such a fun game! And you did it so fast! Oh my! And I was crazy because i had to sacrifice my first game and lose my first 24 hours... I'm Amazed by the idea of the game corrupting itself. So meta! So for it to be more popular (if you actually do it in the future) you could have some files within the game folder itself that look like the actual game files, code, character list, etc... so those files could be corrupted, maybe lose some inputs (go wild). If maybe you don't know this game already, take a look into Doki Doki Literature Club... The files go crazy in a way that got me sooooo scared!!!
I am the angle of the death! The game is ok but with some of the bug when the player is dead or the time runs out. If give some score or time of surviving should be better.

Yes Indeed 1 hour. I was in a quite rush :P
