Potions are a full heal each. They trigger automatically (they're lives) and the heart altar will fully heal you, but doesn't restore potions. There are a couple more altars in the game that do cool stuff, too.

Good job! I'd love to see this one fleshed out more, it has a very interesting concept.

Quite fun, but also very hard. I wasn't sure how to pick up heart (if that was a pickup). Some visuals are hard to see (gun, bullets). And gun itself could be more powerful or have more bullets :)

Added a little extra detail to the description. (Thanks, @snoutup) I got a little developer tunnel vision and didn't realize how obtuse a few of my features are. (bullets pierce enemies, and there's a reload altar that you'll get a compass mark for a little ways in)

Bonus info helps! My game is suffering from dev tunnel vision too, as evident from player feedback, so I also had to add more text to description to clarify things :)
