Blency is a top-down shooter created for the 44th Ludum Dare with the theme "Your life is currency" by three students at the Institut de l'Internet et du Multimédia (IIM) [Romain HABIB, Sebastien GUAROBER and Paul LEDUC].
In this game, you have to survive to some waves of zombies and you only have a gun to defend yourself. You regain life over time and have the opportunity to buy a speed boost with your life points. There is also two puddles of blood placed on the map to win life faster.!

The gameplay is classic but it's actually very engaging to play, I like the fact that you have to balance between standing on the pools of blood and avoid getting hit. It's a bit on the hard side, but I feel like it's a good thing for this kind of game.
I see that you have an audio category, but I didn't hear any audio while playing.
Feels kind of unfinished. The lack of sound really hurts things. Also, dying doesn't give you a game over screen or automatically send you back to the title; you have to manually restart. Really bizarre oversight.
Good controls and game loop. Took me a while to realize that you need to move on the blood to gain health (standing still doesn't work as well). Also it's possible to win on wave 2. Strategy: kill every zombie except for one of the gunmen. Then go slide back on forth on the blood until you have 1000 blood. The gunman shoots you, but you gain health much more quickly that he takes it away.
The pixel art and horde gameplay were fun. Good entry!
The gameplay is nice and consistent and remains challenging and addicting throughout. My only complaint is it’d have an amazing atmosphere with music and sound effects. A game over screen was also lacking but I still had a great time playing.
There's the few expected bugs. But overall its impressive for a 2 project.
