Wow, that was just great! The size of the city, and your attention to details amazes me. Sound of the rain creates great ambience, that contrasts nicely with different indoors music.

Grate game! Wish the Esc would just pause the game and not close it completely :cry:

@annie-owl Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like the city because it took so long to put together that I had to throw out a bunch of features.

This is such a cool game. It's palette, animation style and overall zany mood reminded me of crazy times we had with friends in Superfighters Deluxe. I played it with a couple of friends and we had a blast laughing at cops shooting civillians, headhunters getting ran over by speeding cars while trying to catch us. Disappearing cash also played a part as one of us tried to rob a bank, panicked and missed it all - just like in reallife bank robbery!

I really like it, play at least 5 times, did not manage to win because it's really hard.

I was flashed by the game. It is really cool and reminds me a little bit to Retrocity Rampage.

This is beautifully made, very impressive for one person! The graphics are gorgeous and you really managed to paint a mood with such a limited color scheme. I'm impressed, the world feels real and this is one of my favorites.

This is fantastic. It really is crushingly difficult, but I love the art style. It was brilliant fun just exploring and knocking over the cash machines, and the seamless building entering was really slick and satisfying. One of my absolute favourites so far! :smile:

@neowhoru Thankyou so much! I've never played retro city rampage but I've always loved how it looks, so I think there's definitely some graphical inspiration there. I'd love to expand this into a full game if enough people are into it.

@jake-white I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I was worried I had wasted a lot of time working on pointless details like details of the city and the people, so I really appreicate that you liked it so much. :)

@octopoid Thank you! It's a shame about the difficulty, I don't think anyones managed to beat it yet. :S I'm glad you enjoyed it anyhow. I made entering buildings like that to make things simpler to put together, so I'm glad it came across as cool as well. :)

WoW! For me, as a programmer who Loves pixel art (Talent that I don't have) this game is just beautiful, I really enjoyed the game. Great Job done here :)

this is so good! it's so good! the music, when used, fits perfectly with the environment. the environment is amazing, populated with all these people. the sprite work is incredible, on the people and the city. you have this entire map created and all these different places. this is incredible for a jam game! this might be my favorite game of the whole competition! amazing work!

I would consider adding running to the game because walking around the city takes so much time ;)

i like the game but how do i reload my gun ????

@franboost4 Thanks! YOu don't reload, you have to visit a gunshop to buy more ammo. Theres 2 gunshops in the city, one of them is just to the left of where you start. You can upgrade your gun and its ammo capacity there too. :)

@mr-field oh ok but when im out of ammo is that it? or im missing something because it doesnt reload outomaticly if its not a thing in the game im ok whit that (sorry if you didnt understand english is my 2 leanguaje)

I really loved this one! The gameplay and art especially were amazing. However, I think that the ammo should drop when you kill enemies as it can become impossible to find it when it takes a while to find a shop.

@c0d3d Thanks a lot! Funnily enough, just before reading this, I had implemented cops/hunters/gunsalesmen dropping ammo in the post-jam fix im working on. ;)

This was really fun, really well done and felt so polished for a Ludum Dare entry. Used to love the first GTA so was nice to play an entry that reminded me of it. The art was great and worked so well and this is one that I'll definitely come back to and play again.
