Your Life is Currency!
As a Vampire, everything that you do is tied to your Blood! Your health, upgrade points and blood bolts all cost Blood to use! Have no fear however, because every attack you do will steal some life force from the peasants that have attacked your castle!
Controls:
WASD - Movement
Left Click - Fire
E - Open upgrade menu when in between rounds
F - Open doors.
This is my Ludum Dare submission. Due to time constraints on the Sunday there is a very, very little amount of polish unfortunately, but I still want to get something out there at least! As such, you will see programmer ART and sounds.
However, I am still happy with the work I managed to do. Watching the game slowly come together has been huge fun, and was a much bigger success than last years attempt, where I had two full days to work on the game. Even if its Unfinished and Unpolished, it's at least something out there in the world, which I'm really happy with!
That being said, I feel like this is one of the first prototypes where I can continue on with the game afterwards, and I think I will. One of the first things I want to do is jump back into all the code and clean everything up, because it only takes a deadline of tomorrow to throw all the coding standards out the window. I also wanna see if I can get some proper 3D models into the game, instead of using the 2.5D I have at the moment.
I hope that you at least enjoy the downloading process somewhat, as I can guarantee that the game isn't, but thanks for taking the time to view the game!
