After this LD's difficult theme, this is all I could come up with after spending more than a third of the jam brainstorming. This did not turn out very well, so let me try to explain. You are supposed to be a person who is obsessed with materialism and trends, who can either be with his family, or gaining stuff, (hats and stilts), while completely neglecting his family. His life is all about money, His life is money: (theme?). The stilts were originally supposed to represent how going down the path of trying to make yourself higher than everyone else will only make you fall harder later, but I didn't have the time to do that, so this is what I ended up with.
After the "you did the right thing" message I had to Alt+F4 out of it, is that right? Also are there no controls and you can do nothing? You write that you did not have time to implement more but I just want to be sure that I am not missing anything.
Otherwise I like what you have done so far and this is a good premise for a game. I like the cute graphics and the bouncing factory animations :-)
