You are Lord Barouny from the Khurleigh Castle in the Shrewsword Highlands. Your goal is to retrieve the Divine Chalice by stealing it from the Crusader of Light in the Church.
To succeed, your need to go the the Church and defeat the Crusader of Light.
Amazing game! Everything came well together, I especially like the audio and the aim of the game itself. I feel like the attacking could have been better but otherwise it's great!

Hey, overall it's a nice game. Pretty animations and fun setting. One problem though: the physics (movement of the characters) is either extremely fast or slow depending on the machine you're playing on. I was playing on my crappy laptop and the movement was very slow, made the game barely playable. Tried to play on my good PC and the movement was way too fast. I think there's a Time.DeltaTime multiplication that you forgot to put somewhere ;) Other than that, it was fun. Good work
The game didn't play for me on Chrome (I saw the sun and vial icons, heard the music but the screen was black), on Firefox it launched correctly. Whenever I try to suck the blood of a defeated enemy the game freezes and you can't do anything.
Very well done art, animations and sound! I especially like the suck blood animation and the sunglasses you can get at the first vendor. It is also very fun to push enemies down a cliff if they stand close enough to it :)
Unfortunately I was not able to finish it because the game kept freezing every time I used the suck blood interaction so I eventually died.
Started the game, beat up the first guy to the right, tried to suck his blood. Froze. Reload page and retry x 3, same result. Looks like it should be great but can't play it.
Very nice idea, game looked overall crisp and sounded nice. Sadly it keeps freezing on me, usually when sucking blood but also when having lots of enemies on screen. Hopefully you'll be able to fix this. Again, very cool idea, and I can see that you've put lots of effort into it.

A very pretty game, but seriously flawed. Sucking blood freezes the game entirely, making health recovery impossible and the game only playable until the sun takes all your blood away.
I suck blood of the first person, it freezes. I fall down to a pit, it freezes. But I like the overall idea of sun burning you, but you just got to go. Also the suck animation is brilliant. Good job!
I really liked the animation and sound. The combat felt a bit clunky, especially since I could stand on the enemy head and kill them. The only bug I ran into was falling through the map when I respawned once. I was able to play through the majority of the game but never made it all the way to the boss.
I really like the idea of losing health whenever you're in the sun, but having to go out there to get more blood - it's a nice use of the theme - and the background art and the animations are nice too! I think the music cuts out a bit early (maybe the track is too short?) but otherwise this was a cool game!

Pros: - Brilliant art, the colours work really well together - Nice audio that compliments the gameplay - The blood sucking animation is hilarious! - Smooth gameplay (Until it stops working, see below)
Cons: - I'm not sure if it's just my browser but the game freezes at a few points, once at the start and once when I felt into the ditch. (I'm on Firefox on Mac) Judging from other comments I'm not the only one. If you don't mind me talking shop, you could look into your while loops, maybe there's an infinite loop somewhere.
You did a great job nonetheless, I hope you fix the freezing bug and release a post-jam version!
@gastricsparrow Thanks for your comment :) The game seems to have some problem to run on Firefox :'( we will try to fix this ! If you want to have a better game experience you can use Chrome. I think the blood sucking animation is the best too. We wanted to add so much more things but 72hrs is not enough you know ! Thanks !
Sorry guys for the blocking bugs, it seem that the game fail to render some sounds (Freeze on blood sucking) and crash for some reasons (especially on Firefox)
Art wasn't too bad, though you might want to check on your tileset as there are a few places where there's a couple of pixels from a neighbouring tile hanging mid-air which spoils the otherwise consistent aesthetic. I liked the music though it stopped playing shortly into the game and never restarted (have you remembered to set it to loop?) and it's absence was sorely noticed with the overly spammy sound effects. I'm not a fan of 2d platformers, but I didn't have any issues with your controls so that helped me enjoy the experience. I would say that you need to give the player more feedback with the combat as it wasn't clear when I was hitting an enemy or when the enemy was hitting me. It also took a while to figure out I needed to press and hold 'e' after killing an enemy to drink their blood (which was a cool mechanic and great take on the theme!) as the text vanished too quickly for me to read it at first. I didn't understand the point of the sunglasses and the umbrella (I guess they help protect me from the sun or something) as there wasn't anything to make it clear that having them did anything.
You've clearly got the potential to become a good developer, just take more time to give the player clear feedback on their actions, and you'll have a really good game in the future. I hope you keep developing and come back for future jams.
A nice game. Had good time playing it. The most interesting question i wanted to ask is where is the third upgrade(the stick for blood). Found the other two, but couldn't find it. Anyway it feels good. Thank you for this game!
There was some differences in the runs of my friend and mine. In my run music and all the other sounds were turned off just for several seconds. And in my friend's run only the music turned off up to the final.
Also my run had a long pause with a black screen but music, sounds and even movement before the graphic loaded.
Funny game. Liked the plot-to-gameplay mood change a lot. Sadly the game crashes on a regular basis when attacking enemies for me... Would have liked to continue this one for longer!
really nice game overall, awesome music and mood aswell as artwork,quiet impressive to do this in 3 days :D somehow few bugs occured and i wasnt able to win at all, its very hard... or i suck lul
