You start in a shop and buy a jetpack but learn that the shopkeeper doesn't accept coins as currency.
So, he jumps in his death machine and starts to chase you through various platforming obstacles while you try to collect as many tricky-to-get coins as you can to increase your score.

Explanation ##
At the start of the game you type your username of choice (optional) into the text box on the sign and hit enter to exit the text box. Then go near the shop keeper and press *E* to buy a jetpack with your coins. After that try exiting out of the shop and see what happens!
The game consists of a shop part and 10 underground parts which have increasing difficulty. Coins are scattered across the stage and can be collected for higher scores and more challenge.
When you finish the game you will see a leaderboard that contains all the scores of other players who have completed it. You can try getting more coins for higher scores and maybe even reach the highest score: 1000 points.

- Unity 3D Game Engine - Visual Studio - Aseprite - dreamlo (for the leaderboard) - Music generated with cgMusic.
Hello! I tried both the windows and the web version, however, pressing enter to comfirm my name never worked. I was therefore unable to try your game :(
@takayamushi Actually when you press enter it registers the name but in order to see the leaderboard and upload your score, you need to get to the end of the game
@kai I actually wanted to add more animations and polish to the game and character controls but sadly I had less than a day to finish it because I was busy at the weekend. Hope you had fun anyways!
Platformer controls were fun and the enemy speed was on point. Had a lot of fun with the platforming and was suprised by the twist. Fun game, would play again!
This was pretty fun. I don't know if you made the music but it fits well. I like how the coins are in some tough spots and we have to quickly choose whether or not to grab them (although coins seem useless in this world so why bother?). It seems like the level changes each time you die. I'm not sure if it's randomly generating or if there's a few predesigned levels but it's a nice touch
This is a fun premise but I've gotta be honest, the platforming needs a lot of fine-tuning. The jump is the most important part and it's way too floaty in this game. It feels like you're accelerating into the jump when it should be basically instantaneous or close to it. I constantly died because the character wouldn't start jumping fast enough or would float down to the ground while I was trying to start up another jump.
Still, the risk/reward dynamic of deciding whether to go back for coins when they're about to be swallowed by the spikes is great and I'd be interested in a more ambitious and polished version of this premise.
Decent game with good arts. Sometimes the control didn't respond well for me (I don't know if it's my keyboard or the game). Nice music, too bad that I can't rate for it. The boss lack of animation so it's kind of not-like-a-boss. The coins don't have the important as it should be because I often skipped it if I couldn't reach it in time. Overall, nice game, really love the arts and the intro.
Fun little game, feeling nice and complete for a jam game. If you're looking to improve it, I would suggest making it a bit faster and tweaking the jumping and spike collisions.
your game was fun. the intro is the best :) but is there a way to win the game? i actually died a lot of times but maybe its just because im not really good at this kind of games xD
@rosabonbon@tqv5964@kypello The game consists of a random arrangement of 10 "groups". Each group has a coin and the more coins you collect the higher your score will be at the end of the game. Once you complete all the groups, the game ends.
Haha, ok yeah that was actually really fun - glad I took up your request to give it a play :) Has a really addictive quality - had to keep trying until I could make it the whole way through. I guess my one criticism would be that the theme is only really used to deliver a joke setup to the game, but hey, it was a tricky theme!
Purdy durn fun! The constant fear of peril from the moving spike wall was exciting. Some jumps were very hard to make and a bit frustrating but sufficiently platformer. Good job!

The ninjas legs move one frame.
Even the trackbolts spinning would have breathed some life into it.
The controls were clunky and the movement was floaty and didn't feel satisfying.
Other than that, it was fine! It was still kinda fun, it just didn't have any standout elements to it.
That's good :)
Which means the music wasn't made by me and I didn't want to take credit from the music so I opted out of the audio category.
Still, the risk/reward dynamic of deciding whether to go back for coins when they're about to be swallowed by the spikes is great and I'd be interested in a more ambitious and polished version of this premise.
