Good game! The dash felt super OP, by spamming it I got through almost all of the levels vs. the red cat. Other than that though it was fun.

Really fun little game, gotta love pico-8. Would love to see more of buzz-saw cat!

Really great! The music makes it feel really fast paced. I didn't expect the "boss" but I enjoyed that bit as well.

Nice. Never played much Pico-8 before, but this was a good experience. Really liked the music and sound effects they had a nice feel to them. Wasn't a huge fan of the battle at the end. Felt a little like I was just doing the same thing over and over again without going anywhere and then the cat died. Dash is definitely a little OP there where times where I should have gotten hit by the saws and passed right though them by dashing.

Great game! Made it in 143 seconds with 14 deaths, probably not very good. But lots and lots of fun!

Beautiful simple pixels and a classic bullet hell game. I enjoyed it.

With the red cat level I thought going onto the target reset the level, so I was trying to lead the cat onto the target (because I thought that might be the goal). Definitely over thought it, could have used some feedback to show that the cat was losing health.
Fun stuff though!

@thoof I tried to show that with the red cat's meows getting more and more distorted. Would a health bar have helped?

@dps2004 Ahh, probably would have noticed if I'd had my headphones on! (Some visual feedback would have been good too, like a health bar as you said)

Didn't get music the first try, but it worked when I used a different browser. The movement of things also made me a little dizzy, maybe a little less contrast would help.

Other than that it was a fun little game, not too hard and not too easy. Nice and simple art style.

@refsa what browser were you using?

@dps2004 Brave browser, which is a fork of Chrome. It's just the internal tracker blocker that blocks it.

Nice entry. I beat the game in about 210 seconds, with plenty of deaths. Like the other person above I was confused by the red levels, because everything was moving very fast and at times I was not sure whether I had just died or just completed a level.

I enjoyed the fact that blood remained on the buzzsaws in a way reminiscent of Super Meat Boy. The music is really good and adds to the hectic mood. But in general I love PICO-8 games that have cats (and actually we make such games for Ludum Dare) so I was sold immediately. Good job!

a cat has nine lives... but I had 16 deaths... something doesn't add up here... the cat is a lie
