You are a blue kobold, and you collect coins. the room where you start has nothing in it, and as you collect coins, the music becomes more lively!

Well, my first time doing a compo by myself. This is largely unfinished and rough, but I really wanted to commit to submitting the work I was able to finish in time. I consider myself a novice with pico8, and this was time well spent in practice. I spent entirely too long on making the collision work! Please enjoy!

The main character animation and environment look very cute&lovely.
Made me curious and excited to explore. A bit disappointing it ended so quick.

Would have enjoyed a larger game with more layers of music. But for what it is - the music is great!

@hajden @laegoose Thank you very much! For this compo, I spent way too much time teaching myself the boring stuff to really flesh out something more expansive.

I do plan on finishing this and making it much larger!

I'm rating this more as a sound check - I have enough stuff going on now I have to global mute to go to sleep. Also might detect mistakes like your number pad getting stuck.

Loved the art. Music was a nice touch. Too short, which is a shame since this has so much potential. I'd love to play an adventure game or simple RPG in this style. Well done!
