Cowquest

A poignant adventure studying the mysterious origins of our universe and its evolution using multi-layered symbolism and metaphors. Scholars believe this piece of video-game may hold the key to unlocking our understanding of metaphysics!

You must renounce the desire for preconceived notions and bask in the immediacy of improvisation. It is not only a a profoundly comedic affair, but also simultaneously a thought-provoking commentary, a microcosm of society, an harrowing tragedy and a peaceful passing of time.

The unique beauty of absurdity is in its ability to seamlessly blend every emotion in the spectrum, far removed from the dignity of rationality.

Controls

- WASD / Arrow: Walk
- Z: Interact / Confirm
- Mouse: Menuing features (except for one which is keyboard only)

Enjoy!

The game is still very janky, but it's part of the charm!

BEFORE CASTING VOTES

The game was NOT finished on Monday. Most of the main features were completed on Sunday, but missed the narrative element and story telling progression which mixes all the features together. The scope of the project was a little ambitious as you will see, and even an all-nighter wasn't enough to finish in time. I still posted in "Jam" because I think it wouldn't get much exposure in "Unfinished" and it would hurt to have such a passion project lost in the dark.

However keep in mind this is still a post-jam version only, finished 4 days later. I don't know if it's right for us to take votes, it'll be up to you to decide. 'Graphics', 'Audio' and possibly 'Humor' to some extent were fair and representative of the game on Monday when the jam ended, but the rest of the categories were absolutely not, especially for 'fun'.

If you feel like this is unfair to other games then stick to words. To us, comments are worth a thousand time more than scores. Ultimately we designed this game to make people feel happy, not to measure ourselves!
