Very first entry! Thanks soo much for hosting these events. It was a fun 48 hours!
After watching everyone draw blanks at the theme. I considered making the theme based around drawing blanks! We all started with nothing in our heads! I'll upload the source soon! :smile:
It's a basic play on scrabble and a very popular card game.
I was debating whether to submit to Jam or Compo, considering I am still within the deadline! I will submit to the Jam and I am opting out of the graphics category. The brain was procured from Blendswap under CC0-1 and the head model was generated from makehuman. Everything else was made from scratch!
Known Issues
- Places and Names are not recognized yet, so you won't get a bonus for the word.
- Some matches will look kind of funny the way they are worded. But it's fun!
- Menu items intractable behind the scenes.
How To Play
This is a game of words and quips! You start with nothing. No words for your thoughts!
You must create words with the letters provided. There is a time limit!
The quip requires certain words displayed on the left. Such as Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives.
If you submit a valid word you get 10 points!
Each letter is also 5 points!
Purple letters double your score!
If you satisfy the requirement on the left your time resets and you get a bonus 25 points!
You may re roll your hand but at a cost of 5 points so be careful, you can go into negatives!
Easy gives you 9 letters and 99 seconds.
Casual gives you 8 letters and 60 seconds.
Difficult gives you 7 letters and 20 seconds. ( But you start with NOTHING! )
