This was cute, fun and simple! Absolutely love the concept of the snowball starting from nothing and growing bigger. I feel so bad for the skiers, but also so good for eating them and getting bigger. Completed on my third run! Got tricked into eating too many skiers and slammed into a tree.
Getting stuck by a tree isn't fun, didn't know if there was something I was suppose to do. Had more fun than I thought I would as a snowball. I think adding more things to roll up and skiers reacting to being rolled over would add a bit more humor to the game.
Pa-paaaaaaa-papa-pa-pararara Katamary Damacyyyyyyyyyyyy! I love Katamary and thus, your game, it's fast, easy to understand, only one button needed, good ans simple. Would have made it so that you can ear the trees once you grow large enough, but well, it was a good experience :)
I like the idea you got here, the snowball eating everything up along the way is definitely intriguing!
At the moment I feel it's a bit too punishing, you get stuck on a tree and you just have to restart. It's a bit too slow in the beginning for that, and sometimes the ground pushes you into the air just when you need to jump, so there's some elements of frustration there.
Maybe checkpoints along the way could have helped a bit, or implementing some kind of *Coyote Time* for the jump, so the controls feel a bit tighter.
@xarras, The tree in the meter actually means that u'd be large enough for dropping trees, but it isn't a really good indicator.
@druvsaft the jump can really be kind of frustrating. I'll take a look at how to do the Coyote Time, thanks! As for the checkpoints, the level is procedurally generated and ends when you reach a certain size, although there could be checkpoints based on that.
Nice, very fun little game ! The jumping is not always consistent because of the shapes of the side of the moutain. Nice audio also, liked the cymbal sound for when we touch trees. Also, liked the fact that what was obstacles became no obstacles at the end, very satisfying. :)
Lol did not expect the town at the end. Really fun to play, reminded me of this old Windows 95 game called FreeSki! I was hoping to gain more speed throughout time but it always felt a bit slow even though the slopes were really steep. Loved to be able to knock those trees down (suckers!!) Really fun entry!
