It's your first day at work and you have no clue what you're supposed to do. With the theme being what it is, we took a long time to decide on what nothing should be, and we landed on knowledge. The real challenge of the game is figuring out what to do. It's a pretty difficult task, but if you mess around for a bit it'll start to make some sense. Each day has something new as well, so make sure to try them out.
Mouse controls everything. If you get stuck early on, make sure you try all the buttons on various screens. Actually, I lied, you can reset to the menu by pressing R. Oh, and I should add, this game is not friendly to the colorblind, I'm sorry about that.
What, i got fired! haha, Neat entry, well executed! havent explored the... interface fully yet but going to give it some time, check out the other days.
Lol really funny concept and made me feel weirdly nostalgic. Didn't get very far into the game because I couldn't figure out how to do my job at all, but that was part of the charm!
Seems like a cool entry but its a little bit too hard and i didn't really know what i was doing. I understand I guess thats what you were going for but maybe give the buttons little hints as what they can do so it feels more like a puzzle instead of randomly trying different combinations. Still, really nice game idea and great job!
Such an interesting concept, but wow is it hard! The computer is really fun to interact with though! Sounds are fantastic. Art is great. The puzzles are good as long as you're okay with being fired a few hundred times! xD
I like these sorts of puzzles, where you're thrown into a system with unknown rules and you have to find the objective. One possible glitch/oversight: It is sometimes impossible to toggle the top left symbol (unless I'm missing something?)
@mao if you're on day 2 or 3 you might be missing something, yeah. New problems get added as the days go on and that should be part of one of them(unless I did overlook some bug).
Ah nevermind, I figured it out. Succsessfully completed all three days! These aliens really need a UI expert.
Speaking of UI, some keyboard shortcuts for the buttons on the computer would be nice. I felt like I was gonna break my thumb with all the clicking on a trackpad.
Love the way I need to figure the rules out as you go. ...but it certainly took me way longer than I should have to notice the last basic thing I needed to not get fired on day 1... cleared day 3 eventually, but that was brutal.
Great art, but could have made it easier to figure out what to do. I ended up getting one of the cards right, so I thought I figured it out, but then following the same method the next card was rejected
@washingmachinae Yeah, I assume you fell for the teal one. I made teal look way too similar to green, which was unintentional, and most people don't notice the difference at first.
I'm blown away by this I've never felt so lost and confused and had so much fun whilst being so. I managed to figure out how to play galaga and check the weather and time, but never how to fix the flashing yellow light. Day 3 murdered me and I'll never know how haha, great use of the theme, super unique idea. I loved it!
The concept sounds great, but I think, it needs some small help at start, however, it can ruin the experience of total disaster of the very first day at work which you didn't know how to do.
Great work, nice take on the theme, concept, graphics, humor. Of course it can be polished, it's a jam game. You should extend and polish the game, put this in the market.
Ahh i don't get it, its so hard, i love hard games but this is just too hard, i see many people figured it out so i guess its a really hard but possible game, its still fun to figure it out, i think i almost got it though keep up the good work
Very fun game, took a while to start to get the hang of things but really enjoyed the trial and error. If anything my only nitpick would be that dialogue goes by way too fast so its quite hard to read. Regardless, awesome work! Very well done!
this reminded of my 90s time when i used to watch cartoons on free tv channels at my locality...lol...good ratings jsut for that art work ..let alone the overall game play..GG!

so far, im loving it, really intuitive!
@kekkodude Haha, yeah. It's a total nightmare. I just did the art and audio so when @celdur had me playtest I got fired pretty consistently. :0
A very unique experience for sure!

Nothing this jam made me as happy as beating this game so it's full marks.
keep up the good work
