WARNING: this game was design for phone at first, the web version isn't the full experience wanted !
Here my entry for the LD jam 45 on the theme of "Start with nothing". Embody a space musketeer in a casual deckbuilding game where you start with a single sword move to finish with many others.
Swipe your cards to attack, each card can have 3 different uses on each of the 3 swipes: right, top and down.
You can also swipe left to protect yourself.
for the web version, use directionnal arrows instead of swiping.
It's so much fun! Combining the card game elements from games like slay the spire with simple timing based combat mechanic! This is definitely one my favorites so far in this LD. Thank you for making this game! It was addictingly fun.
@tero-pulkkinen sorry for that, I should have put it in another color on the explication to be sure everyone read it. It's an android game at first but I put the arrow key instead of swipe for the web version ^^"
I love this game, the battle system is awesome, and the moon boss is really nice drawn, i just noticed that the main character is drawn with pixels, i thought it was a 3D Model, Really nice game, Keep up the good work!
The sound can get pretty old pretty quick and I would have really appreciated some kind of continue or save function. Oh, and it took me a while to realize how to equip cards (I first tried drag and dropping and double clicking). Other than that, solid game concept, nice execution.
I think you guys did a good job easing the player into the mechanics. There was a good variety of abilities. I think the enemy difficulty could ramp up a bit faster as the player gets a lot stronger very quickly, leading to less strategy and more spamming strong attacks. Besides that the art is great and I think this is a cool spin on combat!
The graphics and music is pretty nice. Gameplay is also cool, though I was a bit confused by how to use the cards. Also the block mechanic is hard to hit right.
The mechanic to swap card in your deck is a little bit hard to grasp at the beginning I think.
Also, most of the combat are really easy
